Pregnancy
Personal Training

Preparing for pregnancy and growing a baby.. it's pretty hard to find a moment to go to a suitable class or gym.

You may be asking yourself all the normal questions; how do I know if I'm doing the right thing for my baby? Am I eating right?

Am I doing my pelvic floor exercises enough or even correctly? Which is where I come in.

I come to your home or local park and I provide all the equipment.

In addition to my personal training qualifications, I have over 10 years of experience with expectant and new mummies,  I hold an advanced pregnancy and postnatal health and fitness qualification.

I also have two small children myself, recovered from 8cm diastasis recti and prolapse, so I fully understand the stresses your body has been through to create your tiny human and you can be sure you are in safe hands.

Preparing for Pregnancy

Preparing your body for pregnancy can come naturally, but for some the body may need a little extra help.

Whether you're repairing between pregnancies, part way through IVF or any other stage of trying for a baby.. I'm here to make sure you can stick to your fitness goals safely and effectively.

Pregnancy Personal Training

Your body is rapidly growing and adapting to create your tiny human. Even from the first couple of weeks your body has become filled with new and extra hormones to prepare you and your baby for the big day.

During our sessions we will build on your overall fitness by including functional training and strength techniques to continue to tone and strengthen areas which can become weakened during pregnancy, such as your hips, bottom, core and pelvic floor. We will also have a look at your eating habits and adjust where necessary to improve your health. For some, loosing weight may also be a priority, but controlling weight loss during pregnancy must be done very carefully so not to disturb your babies growth. However, eating well and doing exercise will not only encourage safe weight loss, it will also release endorphins (the happy hormone) meaning you are going to start feeling happier in yourself and in life and improve on yours and your babies wellbeing.
